He then finished his Residency in Internal Medicine in 1993 at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He obtained his Cardiology Fellowship from Baylor College of Medicine in 1997 in Houston, TX.
Dr. Abchee received the First Place Poster in Basic Research Symposium in 1996 at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston TX. He was also awarded the American Society of Echocardiography Fellowship Award in 1997. He also received the Outstanding Service Award for the Department of Internal Medicine at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon in 2004. Before joining Baker and Gilmour, Dr. Abchee was Director for the Cardiology Fellowship Training Program and Director of Non Invasive Cardiology at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. He is Board Certified in Cardiology and Echocardiography and achieved special training in Cardiac CT imaging. He is also licensed in Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Abchee has published many articles in the field of Cardiology and contributed a book chapter in Echocardiography. He has received many research grants and participated in multiple international clinical trials in Cardiology.
