Dr. Scott Baker is a second-generation Jacksonville cardiologist. He graduated from the University of Florida Medical School in 1978. He did his internal medicine and residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Baker did his cardiovascular fellowship at Baylor University of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine.
Dr. Baker’s career includes serving as Chief of Cardiology at Memorial Hospital. He also served as Chief of Staff at Memorial Hospital. He is the assistant Medical Director of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue. He is the founder of the women and heart disease organization “Take it To Heart.” Dr. Baker is also the Medical Director of B-6 which is the nationally recognized nuclear cardiologist practice.
Both USA Today and The National Committee of Quality Assurance
have recognized Dr. Baker for his quality of care.
He is currently the President of Baker-Gilmour Cardiovascular Institute.
